Organization OFC Creations Theatre / Old Farm Cafe
Deadline January 15, 2023

OFC Creations recently opened The Old Farm Cafe and Dining Experience in Brighton as a unique destination for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, open 7-days a week. Along with public hours, weekends at the cafe have been dedicated for private events, shows, and entertainment. Since opening in August of 2022, OFC has mounted numerous tribute shows, drag brunches, comedy shows, solo artists, and bands on stage and throughout The Old Farm Cafe with sold out crowds.

OFC is seeking proposals from artists both in and out of the Rochester community to present performances in the new venue. Dates will be booked between February and June 2023 and could be a one-night-only showing, or could be a full weekend with multiple showings. Submissions could be of productions that have previously been performed or could be brand new works developed in collaboration with OFC Creations. Although the performances do not require live music, if the show includes music it could be live or pre-recorded. Ticket prices and applicable compensation will vary based on show, number of artists, and other factors included in the proposal.

Examples of pieces may include, but are not limited to:

Tribute performances to legendary musical artists or genres
Performances of original music
Comedy / stand up acts
Musical theatre performances presented in a immersive manner
Drag shows, brunches, and events
Dinner theatre or interactive murder mysteries
Cabaret musical acts
Concert versions of musicals
We encourage those submitting RFPs to think outside the box with their submissions

ABOUT THE OLD FARM CAFE:

The Old Farm Cafe is a new venue seating 108-159 people, depending the on set up. Typically audience members are seated at tables by reserved seating and can be set up in a wide variety of formations. A small stage bookends the venue, but performers can use space between the tables, aisle ways, or even perform a piece in the-round (with audiences on multiple sides). The venue is equipped with LED-color changing fixtures that can be changed to all standard colors throughout the audience and on stage, creating an immersive experience that involves the audience. Body mics or handheld mics will be provided by OFC along with an OFC lights/sound technician (for most shows). Food and beverage service (including hand-crafted caffeinated beverages as well as beer and wine) will be available for audience members to order to their seat before, during, and/or after the performance. A buffet is also available depending on the event.  The space is also equipped with a 3,000sqft rehearsal studio for rehearsals prior to the show, and doubles as a dressing room for the performers to warm up prior to the show.
