ROC ARTS UNITED invites NY-based artists to create public mosaics in the Upper Falls neighborhood of Rochester. Up to 5 finalists will be paid to create proposals, and a single artist/team will be selected from those finalists. The LOCUS:FOCUS project aims to capture the spirit and memory of a neighborhood through collaborative creation with community members. Final works will be installed within the CONEA/Upper Falls area bounded by Joseph Avenue, Clifford Avenue, Hudson Avenue, and Kelly Street.

EXPECTATIONS
We understand the amount of work that goes into responding to a ‘Request for Proposal.’ For this first round of responses, we do not expect polished concepts, final renderings, or lengthy text. We are looking for feasible, engaging concepts and evidence of quality craftsmanship. Up to five finalists will be given a $500 stipend to develop a formal proposal.
