Mission
Roc Arts United is a local arts and culture organization on a mission to promote collaboration, accessibility, equity, sustainability and recognition of the diverse creative community in the Greater Rochester Area.
Roc Arts United envisions the greater Rochester region as one in which government, education, business, and residents recognize and support the artists and small arts organizations—in all their diversity— as a key component of a healthy, vibrant, and equitable community with access for all.
We will work through advocacy, collaboration, and research to:
- Provide resources and information for creatives.
- Ensure equitable and inclusive opportunities for local artists.
- Cultivate a thriving creative community in partnership with arts organizations and venues.
- Model diversity, inclusion, transparency, and accountability as an organization.
- Monitor and evaluate local government arts activity and funding.
- Amplify the works and programs created by artists and arts organizations.
- Synergize our efforts with other community advocates and organizations.
