ROC ARTS UNITED invites NY-based artists to create public mosaics in the Upper Falls neighborhood of Rochester. The total project budget of $80,000 will be used to cover the cost of two or more mosaic artworks. Up to 5 finalists will be paid to create proposals, and a single artist/team will be selected from those finalists. The LOCUS:FOCUS project aims to capture the spirit and memory of a neighborhood through collaborative creation with community members. Final works will be installed within the CONEA/Upper Falls area bounded by Joseph Avenue, Clifford Avenue, Hudson Avenue, and Kelly Street.
