JACK Quartet invites applications from creators in any performing, visual, or interdisciplinary arts practice who have a vision for working with a string quartet. We’re here to explore new artistic territories and build unexpected collaborations.

What the Residency Offers

Over the course of two years, the residency offers several opportunities: you’ll have the chance to see your work performed as part of JACK’s concert season and recorded in either a studio or live setting. We offer workshops to help you develop your ideas, mentorship for personalized guidance, and a commission fee to support your project. Any travel expenses will be covered by JACK. All of this is designed to nurture your creative vision and bring it to life.

Who Should Apply

We welcome visionary artists from any creative practice who have a compelling idea for how a string quartet can be part of their artistic vision. We want to hear from artists working in sound, movement, visual art, performance art, and interdisciplinary forms. There’s no application fee and no age limit. Anyone can apply from anywhere in the world. We’re looking for artists with a bold artistic voice and a fresh perspective.
