Organization Flower City Arts Center
Deadline April 15, 2022

Flower City Arts Center is proud to offer Artist Residencies to between 5 and 10 local and national artists every year. Artists are accepted while in all stages of their careers. Each Artist in Residence (AIR) focuses on work made in 2D (photography, digital arts, printmaking, book arts, letterpress, papermaking etc) or 3D arts (ceramics and sculpture). Multidisciplinary artists are also encouraged to apply!

All AIRs will receive unlimited access to the program area of their main medium (including the use of studio space and classes), as well as access to the resources and classes of the other program area.

AIRs are a dynamic part of the community at Flower City Arts Center, and are expected to engage with our studio community for a minimum of 10 hours a week. This engagement can include holding open studio time, teaching classes, and production assistance, based on the abilities of the artist and the needs of the department.

All residencies will culminate in a public presentation of the work created while at Flower City Arts Center. This presentation can include but is not limited to, an exhibition, an artist talk, or an online exhibition.

There is no fee for the application. There are no studio fees. Stipends are offered to AIRs when funding is available.
