We are looking for 100 painters to each create a painting inspired by the Genesee Valley for the 2022 Genesee Valley 100. There are just two requirements: you must paint something inspired by the Genesee Valley and use our provided 12×12 canvas. The goals of this project are to see what inspires artists about the Genesee Valley landscape and to inspire the community through their creations on the diversity and importance of the Genesee Valley. Why 12×12? This unique size requires extra thought and care by the artist and, on a very practical level makes this project manageable as we store, transport, and hang these 100 paintings!

Project Details

• All are welcome to sign up and paint.

• Artists can submit 1 painting, on our provided canvas to ensure uniformity of the exhibit. A second canvas may be available if room allows.
  Watercolor painters: submit a 12×12 paper which will be pinned to the wall with a T pin, (contact us so we save a space for you!)

• $10 per artist

• Works due by Oct 14; you may submit your painting to Genesee Valley Conservancy any time before this date!

• All paintings will be for sale with a minimum $40 price and 25% commission to the Conservancy; the artist will set their price and can choose either 25%, 50% or 100% commission to the Conservancy.

• Sign up and canvas pickup will be available at the Conservancy starting on February 7th as slots remain.
