Call for Artists! The Second Annual Nature in the City is a local event held at the Rochester Public Market, in tandem with the City of Rochester and First Friday. This event is a one-day art expo, focused on amplifying the voices of creators and environmental organizations in Rochester and the greater Finger Lakes region. We intend to bridge urban and rural communities through a common love for the arts and nature conservation. In addition to local art, business and food vendors, Nature in the City will include an exciting line-up of live dance, painting, and music from local talents. Arts and environmental justice organizations such as Cornell Cooperative Extension, Rochester Contemporary Art Center (RoCo), The Yards, Center for Youth’s Earthworks Program, Rochester Area Vegan Society, and more will be present with workshops and activities for adults and kids alike.

Nature in the City is seeking more artists from the Rochester and greater Finger Lakes communities to apply and vend this year! We have a wonderful collection of people so far, and we are excited to invite even more creatives and makers to share and sell their work on July 1. This is a great networking and community connection opportunity.
