A comforting sense of impending doom and existential dread is in the air.   Spooky Season is upon us. Don’t hesitate. Step into it bravely (if you dare) this October First Friday, 10/6 at Frank’s Chop Shop.

Curated by Ludmila Begley, Rivkah Simcha and Hungwell Art Services, SPOOKY SHIT is a show celebrating the dark, disturbing, mysterious, eerie, soul-crunching and spine-tingling.

Artists are invited to participate in this spec-tacularium by submitting flat works in any mediums that speak to the theme.

You are welcome to submit one piece over the size of 3’x3′, or three pieces under the size of 20″x20”.  There is a $25 suggested entry fee to cover the organization, installation, promotion and facilitation of the show.

The exhibition will hang throughout the month of October at Frank’s Chop Shop, with an opening reception this first Friday, October the 6th.

Timeline

-Accepting Submissions until September 20th
-Artist notified September 22nd
-Artists drop off at The Yards Art Collective  9/23, 9/26, 9/30 and 10/3
-Show Opens First Friday October 6th from 6-9pm and hangs throughout the month of October
-Deinstall November 1st

Artists will be informed on September 22nd if and which works have been accepted to the show.
