We will be holding auditions this September for our Fall 2023 production of ‘The Sorcerer’ by W. S. Gilbert and Arthur Sullivan.

AUDITION INFORMATION: September 5th and 6th from 6:30pm – 8:00pm.

Auditions are for Principal roles only, chorus may sign up at auditions or attend the first rehearsal on Sept 15th at 6:30pm.

Auditions, rehearsals and performances will be held at Downtown United Presbyterian Church, 121 Fitzhugh St. N, Rochester, NY.

We welcome cast members ages 14+, but cast members between ages 14 and 18 must have a parent/guardian/member of the cast or present at all rehearsals.

We ask that everyone be COVID vaccinated.

Please prepare a 16-bar excerpt from the Gilbert & Sullivan canon, or a song excerpt in English. If possible, please sing a song for the role (s) you’re interested in!

“Note – Some roles may be re-written for different ages and genders. Please let us know at auditions if you are game to try something a little different!”

Please bring your own sheet music. An accompanist will be provided.

We will also have dialogue excerpts available for readings after vocal auditions.
