THE AUDITION:
Initial auditions at the JCC will begin with a dance call at 6:00 p.m. SHARP. Please arrive with enough time to warm up and stretch, and come ready to move with appropriate footwear (sneakers, jazz shoes, character shoes, etc.). For the vocal audition, please prepare two 32-bar cuts in the style of the show (comedic contemporary musical theatre). You may be asked for only one song, but come prepared to show your range. Performers will be able to audition for any or all shows in the BTSI or Summer Stage programs.  Bring a headshot or up-to-date photo, your resume, and your calendar with you to list any conflicts with the rehearsal schedule. If you cannot be available for callbacks, please let us know at the time of your audition.

Callbacks will take place at Blackfriars Theatre. Performers who are called back will be provided with songs and sides from the show with enough notice to prepare. Please familiarize yourself with the score using the link at the bottom of this page.

THE PROCESS:
Rehearsals: beginning as early as June 19th
Tech: July 23-27
Performances: July 28, 29, 30, Aug 2, 3, 4, 5, 6

BTSI is an educational summer experience for students aged 16-22. The goal of the program is to provide professional level actor training to the next generation of artists. Focused on rising juniors in high school through newly graduated seniors in college, BTSI offers continued training for students who are interested in or are currently studying to pursue a career in the field.
