The Studios is MASS MoCA’s artist and writers residency program situated within the museum’s factory campus and surrounded by the beautiful Berkshire Mountains. Operated by MASS MoCA’s Assets for Artists program, the residency runs year-round and hosts up to 10 artists at a time. Artists of any nationality can apply for stays of 2-8 weeks.

At the Studios at MASS MoCA, selected artists receive:
* Private, furnished studio space at MASS MoCA, available 24/7.
* Housing (private bedroom/queen bed, shared kitchen, and bath) in newly renovated apartments directly across the street from the museum.
* One communal meal per day in the company of fellow artists-in-residence.
* A variety of professional development opportunities, including access to our Assets for Artists Business Webinars, and weekly roundtables with staff to discuss grant writing, business planning, marketing, portfolio reviews, and more.
* MASS MoCA member benefits for the duration of the residency, including free access to the museum’s galleries, The Clark, and discounts on performing arts events and museum store purchases.

Annual Application Deadlines:
January 8 for the following Summer/Fall (June – December)
July 8 for the following Winter/Spring (January – June)
