The objective of the How We ROC program is to capture and showcase the diverse spirit of Rochester through the lenses of local photographers. This project is designed to provide a vibrant and authentic portrayal of major City events and the unique character of our community, reflecting the rich tapestry of Rochester’s cultural and social fabric. By highlighting the talent and perspectives of Rochester’s photographers, the initiative aims to offer a compelling visual narrative that celebrates the city’s diversity and promotes inclusive representation.

Aligned with the City of Rochester’s commitment to equity and its goals outlined in the Arts & Culture section of the Rochester 2034 Comprehensive Plan, the How We ROC initiative strives to ensure that all voices and perspectives are represented in the city’s artistic landscape.
